1/2 GLYFAL + 1/3 Joan As Policewoman = ...

We're happy to announce that 1/2 of God Love You For A Liar (Paul and Gareth) will be joining 1/3 of Joan As Policewoman on tour under the name of Dead Air. Dear Air is the musical vehicle for Rainy Orteca, probably best known for playing bass in the excellent Joan As Policewoman. Rainy has decided to go on the road with her solo material and she needed a couple of upstanding gentlemen to help be her touring band. So here we are...

Dead Air will be playing a week of gigs in London next week with a BBC 6 Music session in Manchester on 25th April and it would be great if you could come and support Rainy and ourselves. Check out some Dead Air music here.

EP Released - Launch Party News

Our debut EP Holding You Is Like Keeping Water In My Hands is now available to buy through the iTunes Store. The EP features, along with it's title track, Love Like We're Lovers, The Hunger, London You Owe Me This Much and a live version of Silent Partner.

To buy our EP you must download a copy of iTunes and then access the store through iTunes. Just search for our name.

Our launch party at the Hedges and Butler club was a great success. Many thanks to everyone who came to help us celebrate, we couldn't have asked for a more rowdy audience! We debuted new track Upsticks (lyrics are available here) which received great comments.

EP Release And Free Launch Party Oct 25

The Holding You Is Like Keeping Water In My Hands EP will be released via iTunes on 22 October. The EP will feature, along with it's title track, Love Like We're Lovers, The Hunger, London You Owe Me This Much and a live version of Silent Partner.

We will be holding a launch party at the suitably lovely Hedges and Butler club in London on 25 October to celebrate. We're taking over the venue you for the night and entry is free! We'll be doing our best to decorate the venue to our liking. Support comes from The Cavaliers with the excellent Madam set to open the night.

This night cannot be missed!
